On this International Women's Day, I would like to commemorate the brutal and murderous attack by the radical Islamist Hamas on 8 October 2023.
Women were brutally raped and some women are still in the hands of Hamas in Israel.
My thoughts also go out to the women in the Gaza Strip who have lost their homes to the war and are on the run, raising their children in the most difficult conditions.

Dear music lovers and readers ,)
The wonderful alphabet composer Cédric Finkbeiner (Hypnotic Techno Circles) and I played letters ping - pong for several month, resulting in a " loooong interview" for Orb Mag of a extended time period in music. Anyone who feels like reading on an early spring evening is cordially invited.
Now I will go into silence again and after my operation on 04.04. (incisional hernia from the big operation). From mid-July rather - August/September 2024 - God willing - I will perform for you again and announce all news about music and confirmed gigs for you. Thank you for your understanding! Enjoy the wonderful early spring despite the many bad and sad world events!
Under which certain conditions I will perform is not yet 100% clear, I will let you know at the right time.

Gratefully healthy "in the present", I am mentally preparing my new music studio and, God willing, looking forward to the day when I can spread music for you again!
During my rehab, the highlight was an "out-of-tune piano" on which I was allowed to play between treatments until I contracted corona and was sent home.

Why?
My conviction arises not only from my personal contacts with Israel and Jewish fellow citizens in Germany as well as my intensive involvement with the expulsions and murders of Jews! I have also had many also nice conversations with Muslims. I am open to all people. What I reject is the condemnation of an entire nation, a race, a religion! You can find background information and facts in my links. I also post the Hamas charter. Anyone who is interested in my opinion is welcome to read it!

Hello marvelous music friends, - colleagues and - follower !
With deep thanks for all your encouraging and empowering comments and prayers! I am very touched!
A short update:
It's like a miracle: I am living in TODAY and currently healthy with a Parp Inhibitor (tablets) !
After the effective treatments I still need some time of recovery as well as a rehabilitation at the beautiful Chiemsee at the end of this year.
God willing, I will follow my permanent vocation of music again around the middle of next year in order to be there for you musically: Every day is a gift!
As a consolation, I am sending you a video snip of my ambient album "raumlos", which is almost finished in 2022 and which I was allowed to realise within the framework of a Gema scholarship.
Hopefully you all are doing well in these crazy times!?
My thoughts are also with the noble people who are dying of hunger and thirst as a result of the drought and heat, and with the people who are suffering in war zones. Greed for power is a wrong guideline for life.

Dear music enthusiasts and dear interested :
In the middle of finishing my MUSIKFONDS scholarship II (4 channel mix of unreleased and released electronic own ambient - broken - techno pieces, with orchestral elements notated for live instruments like cello, double bass, strings, percussion) I was shocked by the diagnosis "ovarian cancer" on 28/09/2022.
On 25.10.2022 in 7 hours by 3 professors, several senior doctors in the KEM Essen (competence centre ovarian cancer) operated on "R = 0" = visible tumour removed! It was, it is a very hard time. The most difficult times are the most painful and the ones in which I may learn the most.
Now I am grateful for "the NOW" the excellent work of the Science, the doctors, and my wonderful pendant, my older brother as well as my closest friends who accompanied me in prayer and support through the time.
God willing, after the 6 rounds of chemotherapy (I still have 5x to go) that started on 01.12.2022
and the subsequent maintenance therapy (receptors that dock onto the DNA of possibly invisible cancer cells so that they can no longer repair themselves).
Unfortunately, due to the diagnosis I have to temporarily cancel all wonderful festivals and gigs. What a shame!
There are chances for a healing, God willing!
Since 09.12.2022 I am allowed to ride my bike again (1st gear for now,) and I am so deeply grateful for the movement and that I am allowed to experience the taste buds (from about day 8 after chemo) of food again: A huge joy: So many delicious things to say thank you for.
The strength will hopefully come back and new music for my approved MUSIKFONDS scholarship III (6th grant since 2020) is already waiting for me....
Life is a marvel and a gift.

Ultra-detailed, almost orchestral techno.

Cio D'or's latest EP, Polar Q, lands on the experimental and often somber techno label Kynant. As with past works, like Magnetfluss and Fluidum III, this one focuses on themes of water and climate change, using the increasingly ornate instrumentation—strings, gongs and other orchestral elements, buffeted by lo-fi, glitchy sounds—and tactile hooks that have become her signature.

Though the German artist's music is usually subtle, it's also dramatic (which you'll find especially in her DJ sets), playing on both the macro and micro scale with captivating details that glimmer beneath the surface. On Polar Q, the micro sounds very close and present in the mix, while the macro sounds create a beautiful, if menacing atmosphere. She still relies on the long-tail reverbs that make her work so consistent (sometimes too much so), but the tracks here all establish momentum in different ways. From the emotional dub techno of "Gezeiten Q X" to the pulses and droplets of "Permanent Key" and "Permanent Drop Q X," here water becomes the main expressive source, the sounds changing pitch, timbre and becoming temperamental. "Transparent Q", a gentle and soothing piano piece, lightens the air in contrast to the glum, rainy moods that came before.

Recalling some traits of Mika Vainio's late-period Ø material, Cio D'Or is still very patiently crafting her music, always exploring the possibilities between the organic (or acoustic) and the electronic at an almost molecular sound level. She creates techno symphonies out of small, subtle ingredients, which has long been her trademark—and which makes her upcoming piano-and-orchestral album all the more exciting.

The thematic leitmotif was to be the element "water", which was conceptually divided into the workingThe concept was divided into the thematic areas of "SENSE and Silence", "Infinity" and the mighty "Power of Water".For all created or composed parts, I attached great importance to my own sound development (e.g. through my own recordings mainly of water sounds, key - pitches - tone lengths - frequencies - LFO rates - resonance - attack - decay - filter settings), which were worked out with a great deal of commitment, partly discarded or changed again.and were partly discarded or reconstructed. The pieces reflect the claim of a "breathing, surreal minimalism". In some cases, different versions were created from one piece, with the final decision being made in favour of the thematically "most appropriate piece". Theapproach and realisation corresponds to a single theme, namely climate change in relation to the theme of water, and aims to represent thethe problem as well as to give hope. I chose the titles in connection with the respective musical topic by researchingvia scientific journals, Wikipedia as well as the Logia source QCover and videos:The rather surreal water album cover was made in late summer 2021 at a fountain in Cologne, with my camera Canon EOS M50 with the Canon Zoom55-250mm. Dear friends of music,
in the EU and in many countries there is an increasing lack of water. I would like to see more solutions so that especially poor countries are able to drink fresh water (research is being conducted!). Water is our elixir of life. No human being can produce rain. Here comes a mental refreshment video of a fountain to my track Zentrifugal Q KYN019 (Release Date 16th of september 22). The record dealt with the topic of climate change and water. Here are a few nuances of music to YOU in a world crisis full of drought, hunger, war and political power games:
The wonderful pianist Denys Proshayev will play four of my still unreleased clavier pieces live on 2nd of august 2022 19:30 - 21:30 in Denmark at the Møn Festival (world premiere).
If you want to immerse yourself in sensual moments, I advise you to attend the festival.
Since I found out about the performance late and am still working on scholarships (currently gratefully working on a hybrid set for the MUSIKFONDS ), I will sadly not be able to be there.
Water! For all the flora and fauna and the human beings.

We are excited to present to you the World Premier of the Cio D'Or ‘s composition for solo piano at the concert on the 2nd of August performed and dedicated to Denys Proshayev.
And who can better describe the composition than the composer themselves! Here is a bit about the world in Cio D’Or’s own words:
“The album 'cio d'or clavier debut' (30 pieces, still unreleased) sets timeless signs against the zeitgeist with predominantly minimalist compositions.
They sketch a new alt as a world of perception in which the big can become visible in the small (original title 'großimklein') and the wide in the near (original title 'im weit nah').
A rendezvous for silence (original title 'stilldichein' ) and for becoming (original title 'wErDEN'). A 'wordless word' to listen to. An infinite journey through time into sensual spaces of possibility and wonder.
The clavier parts "I poèmes" and "II préluedes et nocturnes" are characterised by a simultaneously minimalist and contemplative-poetic character.
"III petite valses" aims to revive joy and sensuality.
"IV petite fugues" are intended as a metaphor to put the "world out of joint" back together again, furthermore to offer a musical return to traditional values as an orientation in the 21st century
"V répétitives" is dedicated to infinity and the elixir of life, water. “

For the Gema scholarship I went into my "research lab" and developed some sounds for an ambient album (one part of the trilogy) besides orchestral electronic elements and my clavier debut (Musikfonds scholarship))...
A new vinyl (culture and science scholarship nrw) is also expected to be released in 2022, but more about that later ....
Here is a short 1:30min snippet of a 40min piece as a consolation for the long wait (I am completely immersed in music worlds in silence) Many final works before gigs are still waiting. Cordially + *** + ~∆∆∆~ Cio

for freedom my thoughts go to my music enthusiasts in threatening war situations.

These days and nights my heart goes out to all suffering and fleeing Ukrainians (what a desaster!!!) The war must stop. Immediately! & I thank all the countries that welcome refugee Ukrainians with their welcoming hospitality!
We ALL live on a wonderful planet that we destroyed and we need all the strength and capacity to restore it and to take care of the poor countries instead of fighting each other. Respect for others and freedom in our hearts and disarmament is urgently needed.
I'll let you know more details later and get back to my musicproject for Gema.

The musical project about water and climate change (2nd grant from the Ministry of Culture and Science NRW) is expected to be released in September 2022 on vinyl as well as digitally.
The music moves between cinematic (orchestral elements) techno and fluid broken beats and a slightly dubbed piano piece.
For this, I shot rather surreal short videos. I will report more on this later. With thanks and freedom for our beautiful planet!

I too am very grateful to have received a 4th scholarship from the wonderful GEMA The musical work is as follows: A "Triology" a 2nd (orchestral ambient ca 40min) and 3rd album (transparent ambient ca 40min) will be created and composed as a series next to the "Clavier-Debut"(ca 53min).

I am so thankful that the wonderful Denys Proshayev is willing to record my „clavier début“. I am deeply impressed by his touch on the piano and the breath he gives to the sound! The sheet music is all finished and will be printed and available in a small edition as soon as I find a label.
For this I am still looking for support and professional facilities on a (preferably) Steinway D grand piano for the CD recording.
